Matthew 25:19 "Like a bad tooth or a lame foot is reliance on the unfaithful in times of trouble."
God recently showed me this verse when I was hurt over someone in my life not supporting me as I would have liked. I wasn't exactly sure I understood what He was telling me, so I asked. God clearly told me "a bad tooth or lame foot won't kill you, but it sure will hurt!"
I realized that not everyone isn't on the same wavelength I am. Some people are less mature than me, or never have learned to be a good friend, so they are unable to be supportive. Other people have been hurt so much in their lives, that they are simply burned out emotionally, and can't be there.
